Of all the things I think worth spending time for is hiking. I would wake up really early in the morning, spend most of my energy to wake candice up and both of us would walk our ways through the woods around Georgetown neighborhood. I tried to spend at least 2-3 hours a day hiking in the morning.Maybe because It helps calming me down and somehow it clears my head, and give me the freshness of the new day. It's the time of the day where I truly get to spend with myself and let myself explore in my own thoughts. It's the time where I have nothing to be worried about. The Weekend was right around the corner. Dexter and I tried to figure out what we wanted to do for the weekend. Eventually,We ended up with the idea of going to the hiking trails in northern Virginia.

On sunday, after he had picked me up. We stopped by the frozen yogurt place, just so we could get some energy before we actually spend it all on walking and hiking on the trails. Wait. Have I mentioned how much Candice and I love frozen yogurt? We can't go a day without it and it also seems like we can never get enough of it. Dexter knows best of how to keep me in good mood. Every time we drove pass by yogurt place,he's never hesitated to stop and let me get at least a bowl or two of Fro-Yo. But who am I kidding? A bowl of frozen yogurt is never gonna be enough for me. Oh sorry,I'm off the topic. Just When it comes to my faves, I can't help but keep talking about it. Anyway, after having a bowl of froyo and a nice catch up talk with dex,we finally headed to the trails. The weather was nice,so we expected there would be so many people at the trails, and there actually was. The trails was not that long. It took us only about 15 minutes, just to get to the the other side of the woods. We were walking up and down the hills while continually sharing our thoughts. Dexter is a smart kind of guy,he has a positive view of life and just from listening to him, I learned so much of what life really is.

There was one hill that took us a while just to get to the top. Dexter gasped and said something which I thought was so darn right and beautiful. He said " you know, life is like these hills. There are points where you're at the nice part of the wood and you look around, thinking "man, this is so beautiful". Exact same thing goes to life, when you're at the point that Life appears to be so beautiful that you are convinced to believe so. Then, comes the hard parts where you have to climb up these hills, you get so tired but you know you can't stop, because if you do,You're never gonna get to the top. And again same things goes to life. There're definitely points in life where you feel like you're so exhausted, you have no aspiration to go further and want to stop. But,Of course, you can't. The only thing you can do is to move forward and to hope for the best.".

I came back home late that evening. The first thing I did was writing down what he said on my notebook where I kept all the thoughtful words and the memory of the people who came into my life . -Katy
