"Bloody" might not be too strong of a word here, actually, I think it is appropriate most to describe how much fun we had that day at the small piece of land where two cultures are shared and able to create this busy and crowded but lively area more than anywhere i've ever known. Our day at Little India and ChiTown was BLOODY FUN, AMAZING, AND FILLED with memories. I'm not exaggerating here y'all so please don't give me that look lol.
We got on the bus to little India, shopping for the 4th of July party, me dancing to indian songs in the middle of the road, having our own cup of chai tea, helping old lady crossing the hurried street, getting on the bus to the fresh market, giving seat to a beautiful loving indian lady who shared us bananas and stories of indian life, buying tons of fruit, and sticking my head into a giant basket filled with fresh pineapples, getting on a taxi, and listening to a tragic story of the taxi driver who had lost his son in a car accident and was kind enough to open up to two strangers in a 15 minutes ride.

Oh also, something really weird happened to us throughout that week. People often ask if twins have any special guts that can sense what each other think. I'd shook my heads for a million times and explained about it twice even more that there is no such thing!!We are just two people who were born and raised together, did everything together, and shared almost every minutes in life together. So basically our relationship is way more than the first name basis. So you guess we'd see each other through after all these years. And its exactly the same to the closed friend scenario. Its not that we have any weird sense. Okay, there might be times where we spoke the same speeches at the same time or sang out the same part of the song even though we hadn't heard of that song at all that day which lot of people found it creepy. But!!! Just look at all those times we've spend together. Duhhhh

So when i started to get really tired of this questions, something really weird started to happen.
This one whole week where we thought about the exact same things. I would sit still thinking about stuff on my own and katy would walk in and said the exact same things, same people, same thoughts i was thinking of. It wouldn't be so much of a surprise if this didnt happen every single freaking day! I guess it's a twin power sort of thing. And it's nice to have someone knowing what you think and share the same needs and interests. Katy always be so understanding and doing her job really well at being a big sister. So what can I say? I'm the luckiest sister in the WHOLE WORLD! -Candice.

Mung Bean Curry
1 cup of mung beans
water, enough to cover up the beans
4 tbsp of curry powder (or more, depends on how much you like it)
1 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp of freshly grounded black pepper
1 lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup of natural yogurt (or more)
Bring the water filled with beans to the boil. This type of bean doesn't require an overnight process, so you can go ahead and cook them in the pot. When the beans seem cooked and the water was almost gone inside the beans, it is now the the time for you sto start seasoning this dish. Put in curry powder, coriander powder, black papper, lime juice and salt. Now stir to combine. If it gets too dry, add a little more water, This dish is best at their soupy texture. But don't make it soo soupy, otherwise they won't be as good. You wanna taste all that yummyness from the beans in every bites! Taste to see if it is cooked to make sure again. Put more or less curry powder to your preference. Serve with fresh vegetable and a BIG spoonful of yogurt! This is the best part here y'all. Believe me. The yogurt just makes the dish even creamier and has a little sourness to it.
This dish was created by Katy in one evening when we first moved into the house. It is warm, coszy, yummy, and comfort. And also really EASY to make! Enjoy!
